Goblins Causing Havoc in the Streets.
Adventurers met with the goblin king known
as Kerkot, and struck a tentative deal for saving the city of Crossings. With reports of a Kaldar army
advancing from the south, and with mighty goblin forces attacking from the
north, there is just no where left to run...
After several adventurers agreeing to leave the Gorbesh Fortress in goblin
hands, Kerkot agreed to speak with the Kaldar Zadieus regarding the invading
army. But in Kerkot's absence things have not been well - two goblins
known as "Cat" and "Jestor" have been leading daily
raids. So be wary, for danger lies all around these dark days!

An Old Enemy Brings Warning!
Zadieus, Earth Born holy man of a Kaldar
tribe living in the Dragonspines was spotted in the city yesterday by several
adventurers. You might recall this Kaldar's attempts to raze the city and
reclaim the land for nature... After quickly being defeated, Zadieus
returned with a dire warning...
A
new flight general (referred to as the Hawk) has assumed command of the Kaldar
tribes and is marching for the Crossings. Their goal is destruction of
the northern cities and the acquisition of some power by which to "kill
nature". Zadieus is opposed to their plans and suggested a temporary
truce to defeat the common enemy. But, can he be trusted?

Kerkot's Reign of Terror Continues.
A
sly goblin named Kerkot threatened the city of Crossings again today. As some of you
may know, Kerkot is the self proclaimed goblin king and reportedly commands a
large army of orcs and cyclopians bent on taking over the city.
Adventurers rallied to the city's defense three times yesterday as Kerkot
advanced into the city. At one point feral warcats and jaguars were set
loose outside of the Empaths' guild by a goblin witch referred to as
"Cat". Both goblins met their end several times during
the battle, but neither looks ready to admit defeat.

The Bells Rang, the Faenrae Came.
Bells rang loudly throughout the Crossings today as Faenrae stalkers and thugs
charged into the city from the sewers below. Berylla, a known Paladin and
protector of the city, mounted a swift defense against the invaders.
Though it was overheard that the faenrae were looking for something, nobody can
yet figure out what it might be...
So
take care, and flee fast if the bells should start ringing! Perhaps in
time we'll unravel this mystery.

The Crossings Orphanage Opens Its Doors!
At
last the Crossing Orphanage is open and taking in orphans. Over a year of
planning, fund raising and cajoling work crews has led to this wondrous
event. At the last minute all hope appeared to be lost as even Ansphrav
tried and failed to convince the work crews to finish...
But in a stellar example of sacrifice, the
adventurers of this great city put forth a mighty effort and completed the
project. We invite everyone to take a step inside and see what your
donations have done for the city. No project is easy, but with hard work
and determination dreams can be made to come true!

Kunzen is Saved.
The
past few weeks saw Kunzen, the betrothed of Khasmire, kidnapped and possessed
by evil spirits allied with a Faenrae executioner that has been terrorizing the
lands. A small band of adventurers was able to seek out a tormented
Plague wraith and learned of the existence of another Soul Orb. Armed now
with this Orb, they believed saving him would be possible. Alas, in a
skirmish Khasmire too was lost to this wicked corrupt fae!
So
a date was set to hand over the orb, and a battle ensued on the streets of Leth
Deriel. In the end both Kunzen and Khasmire were saved. Now
all they need to do is tie the knot!

Shard Builds a New Bridge!
Yesterday saw the opening of a bridge in southern Shard. The bridge
connects to a new district that contains many shops, and even a unique form of

yet, the completion of this project has freed the construction crews so they
can begin breaking ground on the Crossing's Orphanage project!

to the money already collected at the auction should cover the orphanage
construction expenses. Further details of the meeting are soon to follow.

The Quest Closes, Proposals Abound.
Last night saw the end to a quest that
began in the depths of the Old Crossings, took a band of adventurers led by the
rangers Kunzen and Khasmire into Dunshade Mannor, saw kidnappings and
executions, and concluded deep in the Gate of Souls...
The
whole ordeal began when Kunzen and Khasmire recruited adventurers to root out
the cause of the recent Adan'f uprising. What ensued was a whirlwind
adventurer collecting clues, interrogating Death spirits, and nearly losing
life and limb to smash an orb known as the Orb of Souls. Last night the
chaos-inducing glass was shattered by Kunzen's foot, and hopefully life will
return to normal. Normal for most people anyways - Kunzen proposed to
Khasmire at the conclusion of the quest. Their new adventure is just
beginning!

An Auction is Held!
Earlier today an auction was held at the northeast gate of the Crossings.
Many items from around Elanthia were sold at extraordinarily cheap
prices. Many thanks to Cesiro, Kedath and Khasmire for their hard
work in putting on the auction.
A list of the auctioned items and their buyers can be found
here. Keep in mind that near the auction's end, many items were
purchased and immediately given away to newcomers.

The Crossings Invaded!
The
forests screamed in a menacing tone earlier today as clusters of monsters
invaded the city. Evil spriggans led the charge, with guardians made of
rock to hold the flanks. Gidii and other animals flocked into the
streets, tripping up guards as they rushed to the city's defense.
Sheer ferocity won the day, as adventurers launched themselves into the
fray. Bodies piled up in the Paladin's guild and in the streets as the
fight wore on. At long last the Forest
grew quiet and its forces ceased their advance. For who long, who knows?

Terald Commences His Excavation.
Many years ago at a festival in Therengia
an Archaeologist named Terald sold shares to fund his excavation. Over
the years these shares have passed hands many times throughout Elanthia - only
to be paid back last night.
Terald summoned the adventurers holding his shares to Ratha so they could offer
him protection alongside his exploration. There, beneath Eluned's Temple, he had discovered
an ancient civilization. "The drums beat loudly, and then I was
attacked by large-eared humanoids", Terald explained to them prior to
entering the black depths. The adventurers accompanied him down into the
caverns below, and emerged shaken and scarred. Rumor has it Terald
graciously rewarded them with gem encrusted lizard charms for their help.
Perhaps in time more will be revealed!

Assault On Drogor, A
Rescue By Pirates?
A
rotting ship and its undead zombie crew docked in the Crossings and began an
assault on the Temple.
Their efforts to desecrate the Drogor altar were rebuffed by a strong storm
said to be sent by Drogor himself!
The
Dawnsinger, a pirate ship captained by Eraewen and his pilot sibling Eraewyn,
pulled into port shortly thereafter and assisted with the Temple's defense. Eraewen is a known
Drogor zealot and explained the storm's intent, and the danger it posed to the
city. The temple must be defended, or the storm would destroy them
all! Through the combined efforts of adventure and pirate, the day was
saved and disaster was avoided.

Trolls Invade the Crossings!
Adventurers reported their encounter with
a young rock troll at the northeast gate last night. After repeated
attempts to shoo the youngster away, its mother arrived and began shouting at
the annoying beast. Several folks wandering by were engaged by the young
troll while it had a mighty temper tantrum.
Just when it looked as though the young troll might go on its way, a hoarde of
trolls flooded down from the north. The most vile, the cave trolls, ended
the lives of many adventurers that night. Eventually they satisfied their
hunger and returned to their caves... until next time.

An Assault By the Kaldar.
Zadeius, the one known as the Earth-Born of a Kaldar tribe, was seen earlier
today in the Crossings. You might remember Zadeius as the Kaldar which
attempted to fell the walls of the Crossings several weeks past. After a
brief assault by Reapers, the defenders of Crossings chased Zadeius down to the
elvish warrior mage fortress in Ilithi. There he barricaded himself
in the artificer's room, until a specially crafted piece of jewelry teleported
him back to the Crossings. There again, he was confronted and
chased to Ratha. It is unknown where he now plots the downfall of the
city....

Woe to the city of Crossings. As new
adventurers rise to take up the good fight, evil has something else in

streets tonight in an attempt to strike fear in the hearts of all goodly
folk. The heroic efforts of many brave adventurers carried the day and
drove off the invading spirits.
A
boggle named Twiggy kept talking of a secret during the ordeal, and Silvyrfrost

A
wave of odd visions heralded the arrival of a Kaldar named Zadieus.
Zadieus sparked a panic in the city of Crossings

its inhabitants.
A
handful of adventurers sought to placate the powerful mage, but to no

Despite Snow's rejection of Zerlien this past week, the elf still intended to
"own" Snow before long. As the days went by, plenty of rumors
sprang up. Some say they witnessed a bruised Seannan (presumed to have
been beaten by Zerlien), and others claimed they'd heard that Zerlien and
Seannan we once (possibly still) married! In a shocking turn of events,
this tale has come to a close....
Zerlien's body was found yesterday under suspicious circumstances. The
elf was strangled and found with a handkerchief embroidered with Lady Snow's
initials. Oh what a dark day. Please read here to find out more...

Rumors

the elf of ill repute. In the past months since the engagement was

Moradu Giants Invade the Crossings!
A
clan of frost giants bore down on the Crossings late last night. Led by a
particular evil looking white bearded chief, these 30 foot tall lumbering
beasts cried out for more snow and ice. Several adventurers understood
their cries for snow - probably because most has melted with the changing to
spring - and sent for Renwulf the Frost mage.
Despite the mage's covering the area with snow and promising to assist with
replacing the ice in their homeland - the giants grew irate and attacked.
Luckily for the defenders, their war-snowbeasts turned on them and began
attacking the giants! Quick thinking and bravery defeated the angry band,
and saved the city. - August 5th 2006

The Crossings Repels an Invasion!
War
drums pounded around the city last night, and adventurers manned the walls and
took up arms in her defense. The initial assault consisted of disease
carrying ithor rats send in by the attacking goblins to weaken the defenders'
resolve. Skilled empaths heeded the call and kept the sick breathing
until the menace could be contained.
As
the adventurers got the assailing goblin forces under control, giant cyclops
and crossbow wielding ogres descended into the streets. Then, a bone
mammoth broke through the ranks and drove straight towards the Warrior Mage
guild. Only by the brave dedication and guile of so many did the city

webs. Stalwart adventurers foiled their attempts of getting an easy meal,
but unleashed an even larger danger. The steam vents have been known to
be home to malevolent clouds of deadly gas. Something caused these clouds

danger many adventurers came and defended the city. Huzzah to the

Shard
is Invaded by Adan'f!
The
forces of evil have sprung up again in the land of Ilithi. Shard was
invaded by foul Adan'f in search of something unknown in the
fortress-city. Many adventurers banded together and drove the invading lizards
at the Ferdahl Aemmin's request. If they will be back, is as of yet
uncertain...

The
Crossings is Invaded!
Last
night a large number of foul creatures shambled into the streets of the
Crossings. Vile ithor rats heralded the arrival of even deadlier beings
such as Death Spirits and Wir Dinego. Several Hafwa were also spotted
tossing adventurers' dead corpses around like sacks of so much wheat. As
the night wore on their screams could be heard from the inns and taverns where
townsfolk took refuge. At long last a mighty band of heroes led by an
uncouth Halfling charged forth and destroyed the unholy apparitions. Thee
cheers to the heroes of the Crossings!

Trixxie
visits the Crossings.
Last
night a halfling by the name of Trixxie paid the Crossings a visit. Her
thoughts about wanting to play a game resounded across the land, and several
adventurers came running on down. They met by a statue in front of the
Academy, and called out guesses to a game of "Guess What I am Thinking
About". When all was finished, the trio of adventurers were
surprised to find the halfling was a skilled alterer of cloth goods! What
an enjoyable evening for everyone it was.

Malygarr
is Released!
Disaster has struck the lands as the Tempest sword of legend was reassembled
last night, releasing a great evil. Malygarr, leader of the Tempest army
now walks the land again! A band of adventures accompanies Elvyanne the
archaeologist to where the blade of the sword was kept. Yhaman and his
Outcasts were seeking the blade as well, but were unable to prevent the elf
from completing her task. The web of lies and deceit grows thick, and can
anyone trust again? Syken revealed all for those around to hear, but can
it be believed? Read

An
Update on Seleamar's Death.
Several weeks ago we reported on the death of
Seleamar and her subsequent walking of the starry road. With the new
information we have learned it is believed that Waslen did not directly cause
her death, but rather that she passed away during child birth. Seleamar
went into labor shortly after Waslen interrupted the rescue celebration and
demanded that he be given his wife back. Guildleader Snow tried hiding
Seleamar in a closet - but then she went into a troubled labor that Snow could
not prevent. After learning of his wife's passing, Waslen went totally
insane. He fled with the body and has not been seen since. To
read more, please check here.

The
Tempest Blade is Sought by Many...
For many months the sword of the Tempests has been sought. Broken into
three pieces, the sword is a mighty artifact with as of yet unknown
powers. It has been rumored that the spirit of Malygar, a mage of great
power, will be released if the blade is made whole.
Recently several parties have stepped up their search for the sword
pieces. Yhaman to the north quests for the hilt and gem. Syken and
the Crimson Tempests yet seek the blade, and Elvyane seeks all three parts for
the moon mage council - if she can be trusted. Read
about the latest developments, here.

Shard
Has a New Ferdahl and Old Merchants Return!
The gathering met once again in front of the Great Tower to finalize the
coronation of Shard's new Ferdahl, Lady Aemmin. Following the ceremony a
small get together was held in the Chamber of Voices. Nobles and
adventurers alike sampled traditional Elothean snacks while chatting about a
great many topics. Read
all about the coronation's finish, here.
In other news, to assist with the celebrations, merchants lined the streets
around the Great Tower. One great bowmaker, Renshear, had even opened his
tent with bows and arrowheads not seen for years!

Early this morning a gathering of nobles, adventurers and parties loyal to the
Houses of Ilithi held a ceremony to coronate the next Ferdahl of Shard.
The gathering worked it's way around the city while reciting the prior Ferdah's
to have served. At the conclusion everyone met in the Chamber of Voices
inside of the Great Tower. Now Aemmin, the chosen Ferdahl, must spend a
week of silence in preparation. The conclusion of this great event is
expected to include much celebration! A

As
of right now reports are still sketchy, but many have come forth saying they
witnessed Seleamar's soul departing for the starry road. You might
recall our previous reporting on her daring rescue from the clutches of her
husband, Waslen. Whether or not he played a role in her death is still
uncertain. She had just recently been seen with her newborn son whom she named
Selan, and we don't yet know his condition. We will do our best to bring

Lady
Snow and Seleamar Shop in Crossings, and a White Leopard is Seen.
Citizens of Zoluren were greeted by Lady Snow and Seleamar strolling through
the Crossings. You might have read previously about the brave adventurers
that freed Seleamar from her controlling husband last week. The two made
their way through town, accompanied by several adventurers. Seleamar
began having baby pains shortly into the trip and forced them to seek shelter
in the Paladin's Guild.
It was recently learned that Yhaman's white leopard was also sighted in town
during their visit. You might remember this mage from the recent Outcast
War. If the two events were related or not is currently unknown.

Syken's
Past, Revealed...
A darkly clad Paladin happened across some
adventurers yesterday in Haven. In her hands was a box she claimed to
have removed from Syken's possession. Believing that something valuable
was inside, she sought the help of the party in opening it. A key was
reportedly found behind the shrine to Damaris in Crossings, and they discovered
not the fabled gem but rather Syken's personal affects inside. While quickly
sailing for Arthe Dale, a band of bounty hunters attacked their ship, and then
later Syken was seen accosting the party directly. The outcome of the fight
that broke out is as of yet, unknown. That is all we have to report at
this time but perhaps we will learn more tomorrow.

A
Woman Freed.
For the past several nights a woman's thoughts could be heard throughout
Ratha. A tale of imprisonment caused many adventurers to take pause, and
ask questions. Soon she revealed her name as Seleamar, and was with
child. Her husband, a man named Waslen, had locked her up after their
"arrangement" of a marriage. A band of adventurers learned she
was the sister of Trader Guildleader Cialen, and him and Guildleader Snow to
rescue the lass. After chasing off her husband, a man named Waslen, the
party made haste to find safety. In celebration a Market Day for Shard is
to now be held!

Father
Koryn Receives a Surprise Party!
Last night the friends of Father Koryn gathered in
celebration of his achievements. Most notably as of late were the
successful completion of the resurrection quest and the saving of Sir Pedrig's
soul. Shortly after the party started Koryn went and surprised everyone
with an announcement of his own. Following a song of love sung by the
barddess Adryanna, Koryn proposed unexpectedly. After the shock had
passed, she said yes! The happy adventurers then continued drinking,
storytelling and dancing all night long.

Adventurers flocked to Baearhold'ts Tavern to hear a somber story this
night. Pedrig, a well known Paladin, has been afflicted with a malady
affecting his very soul. While in the service of the Twilight Clan,
Pedrig encountered an artifact of evil origin. Now driven near mad from
the hallucinations, Pedrig has ventured to an unknown location in the
North. Friends of Pedrig, including Father Koryn, met to discuss his condition.
Koryn

The
Twilight Clan Meets at the Baearholt's!
The Clan known as Twilight met with many eager adventurers last night in
Baearholt's Tavern just north of the Crossings. Discussion included what
dangers the land is now being faced with, how the Clan has tried to deal with
these threats, their successes and failures, and how to recruit new Clan
members. So much is still unknown about the secretive group called The
Order, and how they mean to use the artifacts they have been gathering. For

The
Twilight Clan is Revealed!
A group calling themselves Twilight Clan have emerged from secrecy after their
leader was killed by a huge Kaldar warrior that has recently been terrorizing
The Crossing. It is rumored that upon her death, the leader of the clan
was then robbed of a very powerful magical artifact the Clan was
protecting. The nature of this artifact is known only the the members of
the Clan and those they have shared their tale with. The Kaldar and his
accomplice have not been seen since the slaying, but with a successful theft of
such a powerful artifact, it is reasonable to assume they will return.
Twilight Clan has put out a call for any who would come to hear of their quest
and join their cause.

Raging Kaldar Strikes at the Gate!
A mysterious Kaldar was spotted singing at the gate just prior to killing an adventurer
at the Northeast Gate of Crossings. The victim, known only as Ray, is an
accomplished adventurer in her own right. The Kaldar was reported to be
very tall, and had dark green eyes. He seemed to enjoy killing and
hearing bones snap. The following day another dispute broke out between a
dwarf and a s'kra mur. Little else is known about this encounter.
Following the incident several people gathered at Baerholdt's tavern for a brew
to discern what they could about the Kaldar threat.

Aquolos
Holds an Auction, and the Crossings is Invaded!
The King held a raffle for those adventurers who visited the kind Merelew on
their island. Winners of the auctions and raffles held can be found here.
The second half of the auction is scheduled to take place on the
morrow. In other news, the Crossings was invaded yet again by
Crimson-Tempest Soldiers. Syken apparently led the charge, and was
miraculously cut down by a collective team effort amongst the adventurers
present. One Seteria, a healer of some skill was reportedly the one
responsible for the turn of events via an unusual sleep conjuration.
Syken's body has yet to be found however, so we have no news of his permanent
demise.

Merriment from the Festival
As the festival continues on we have seen raffles and more shops opening their
doors. Beyond this, more people are competing in the Arena and earning

In other news, preparations are underway for a feast in the coming weeks.

A
Day at the Festival, and a Kinslayer at the Arena...
Merchants bustled with activity as customers perused shop after ship
today. The barbarian guild was seen setting up a wagon, and several other
merchants re-lined their shelves. More gladiators set forth to test their
mettle at the arena, but with little success. One poor dwarf even was
told to have traveled some great distance on account of his
"bruddah". After failing to win the title, the dwarf was struck
down just outside the barbarian guild by his kin. Several witnesses
described the scene that was truly horrible. Insults and accusations
abounded and our reporters' brains were hurting from all the excitement.
As the dwarf's soul shot past across the sky, one can only wonder how what the
future of the Arena will hold in store for us all.

All
Hail Gladiator Champion Raecear!
Huzzah! Huzzah! Such was the cry as Raecear a mage of great renown
set foot into the Gladiator Arena and did battle with all manner of unfair
creature. After destroying a majority of the beasts set at him, Raecear
took a more cautious approach and hid from sight while directing spell after
spell at the ravenous beasts! So hungry and enraged were the beasts that
they began tearing into each other with a frenzy. As the dust settled,
Raecear at last stood face to face with the Arena Mammoth. In a contest
of willpower, Raecear smashed it's mind with a hammer, and put the hurt on it
thoroughly! Three cheers to Rayvne a runner up in the competition,
Avaera, Torgar, Renwulf and Dalkin for their fine performances as
well!

Andreshlew
Rises Again!
Events brought an interesting turn
to the day. Apparently a princess of Merelew decent has gone missing to
the worry of her people. This has prompted their society to once again
raise up their grand island and open it's shores for the curious. Initial
reports say the island is set for a festival and feast of proportions not seen
in many years. Many gambling tables and merchant tents have already been
constructed. Adventurers from all over assist in the construction of a
Gladiator pit and await the matches to be held within. Come one, come
all, to Andreshlew!

Adventurers
Return From Exploring a Ghost Ship!
Yesterday the second band of adventurers set off to explore a mysteriously
abandoned cursed ship. After having their own ships sunk, both parties
had harrowing stories to tell. Spectral pirates, animated food, and a
captain that forced them to swab the deck! I suppose we'll never know for
sure if these were just stories from drunkards bent on capitalizing on the
myth, but I know I sure believe - do you?

A
Tog Loses His Temper!
An irate Tog was spotted storming around the Crossings late last night.
Unlike most Sent-Togs, this one claimed to be raised by the Baron of Therengia
and spoke very good common. Witnesses say the Tog was seen speaking with
a gnome and skr'a mur prior to storming off in a fit of rage. Later that
night the conversation started again in thoughts, ending with the Tog offending
several dwarves, and ending with a cry for the Tog's blood. Several
parties made way to Shard for the duel, where the offending Tog was taught two
lessons. First, that you should never insult a dwarves beard, and second,
a dwarf head is stronger than steel.

Mischievous
Leopard.
Yhaman's leopard made an appearance this evening to a young empath training in the
bog out in Riverhaven. The lass was working her armor training and checking the
wildlife to care for the creatures in the area. When the leopard appeared the
young empath left the area thinking that perhaps the leopard was looking for
game to hunt. Better the frogs than her! When it seems the leopard had other
things on her mind - protection. Now this young empath lass has a new look
towards big kitties.

Monsters
Infest the Abandoned Castle Near Haven!
A band of adventurers responded to the guards' calls for aid. Reports
vary, but the general idea is one of theft! Whatever could have been
stolen from the old castle grounds is still up for debate. One thing
remains clear - there was no drought of evil that night. The defenders
faced every evil imaginable, including plague wraiths capable of sucking the
soul right outta you! To Haven's rejoicing, the Dwarven mage Kedath lent
her skill in battle and assisted in driving off the beasts that could not be

Outcasts
Reveal Their Culture.
Last week the Outcast mage Yhaman sent an Outcast Trader caste to speak with
the trader Reenni. The discussion concerned aspects of the Outcast social
structure, including how the lower castes are not allowed to speak directly to
any of the warrior castes. Reenni had apparently insulted the Outcast
mage during their last encounter, and he saw fit to instruct her in the proper
way of their custom.
In other news, Yhaman's white leopard was seen tracking people down in Haven
today. Shortly thereafter war horns were sounded and we had several
reports of Burning Claw Clan sightings. We have no other information
about these events as of yet.

The
Outcasts Yet Survive, and Who's the Lost Lass?
After
traders in the Crossings reported a strange white leopard frightening their
animals, local mages were dispatched to investigate, and identified the owner
as Yhaman of the Outcast tribes. A small part of adventurers was reported
to have met with the leader, but their outcome unknown. In other news,
reports have come in that an elven lass was found unconscious on the beach near
town. After securing her in the keep, all she asked for was the Prince,
Vorclaf. The Prince arrived just as confused as the rest of the populace,
as she would only speak in her native tongue. Eventually the Prince's
aid, Jinxie, put the lass to bed amidst much confusion, never determining her
origin. The arrival of an Olvi soon thereafter should dispel any
conspiracies that our Prince is not himself...

Animal
Killing Unleashes Evil!
Several adventurers entered the Crossings yesterday, trailed by a thirty foot
tall insect demon! Several citizens overheard the great insect filled
cloak belch forth insults aimed at "Those who shed blood in the
forests." Whether this apparition, and the subsequent invasion of
spirits and shambling undead that followed could be traced to the slaughter of
creatures in the woods has yet to be seen. After several attempts the
adventurers managed to slay the wraith and purify it's bones. Only then
the greedy adventurers found themselves victim of a strange curse. After
reports of several limbs being removed it is safe to say we stopped
reporting. Let us hope the undead now keep to their
graveyards!

The
Return of an Old Friend, and More Questions...
Having vanished during the confrontation during the old gnome Thimmas' auction,
Elvyane the Archaeologist was thought lost to us. Yet, last night the elf
staggered into town bloodied and beaten. The elf explained her capture
and subsequent torture by the scarred elf Syken - a seeker of the gemstone that
was to be auctioned. After much explanation the Crossings was occupied -
albeit briefly - by an unknown force of Crimson clad folk. Where was the
Prince during this travesty? Why did his guards stand idly by as
assassins and archers tore into the city's defenders? And, is Elvyane
speaking truths or furthering some other means with her actions?

Murder
of an Old Gnome, and an Assassin
Tonight Thimmas, an elderly gnome,
held an auction with good ranging from dragonwood longbows to skull adorned
books. Throughout the furious bidding hooded figures and elven bands
waged wars in the shadows of the guildhall. Near the auction's end the
gnome raced to the Half Pint for the final treasure, only to be intercepted and
killed by an unnamed killer. Some swear they saw Syken do it, but who can
be sure?
In other news, word has reached my ear that Nazirre, a well known mercenary for
hire was rebuked by some secret shadow society for boasting of his prowess in
battle. Using some magic far beyond any mortal means they banished him
from the lands. We can only pray the foul creatures of the isles don't
learn of his dissapearance.

Prince Issues a Proclamation, and an Odd Toymaker is Seen.
Prince Vorclaf announced that the City of Crossings
would not give into the threats recently made by the sky giants and their
allies. Yet, further attacks have claimed the lives of many in the
city. Giants have made off with numerous supplies without significant
resistance from the guards. What shall become of the city? In other
news an elder gnome named Talyesin was seen in the city inquiring about gnome
children who like toys. Also mentioned was a Swallow's Tear Drop flower -
but it's significance has yet to be determined. Does this toymaker have
other plans for the children, or is he as innocent as he looks?

Demands
of Surrender!
An invasion force met with defenders of Crossing City
yesterday in a fierce battle. Cyclops, goblin warlords and even the foul
darvagers made way into the city streets. Thanks to the battle
skills of many the invading forces were put to rest, but not before demanding
the Crossing's surrender. After utter defeat met the invading forces an
orcish assasin killed scores of citizens in retribution. Demands of the
Crossing's surrender, along with 4 crates full of food and ammunition have yet
to be met. Only time will tell what fate awaits the city if these demands
are unmet...

A band of adventurers was reportedly assailed on the

of a New Diety!
A Kaldar was recently sighted in the Crossings speaking of a new

before letting onto his mission. Apparently this diety prefers that bards

filled the night with laughter.

Syken
Makes Known a Great Evil!
Syken whispers, "The times are at a point of divergence, and soon a time
will come when a decision will need to be made. The shadows will fall unless
the people are willing to open their eyes to the truth. Be prepared, there are
dark days before us all." Such were the words spoken by Syken to
Solstitia at the Crossing Gate. What do they mean? What was the
purpose of the kobold-kin flag that lured armies of wretched monsters into the
city streets? Only time will tell...

Ravanos
Learns Resurrection!
After narrowly escaping death, a worn and
weary Ravanos successfully completed the quest necessary to bring the dead back
to life. The mission's completion proved to be only the start of a long night
spent rescuing bodies, dodging heirophants, and getting stuck in the foul
Zalfaung swamp. Luckily with the help of many friends and allies the day
was saved

Ruffians
attack Crossing Northeast
Earlier today Mercenary Syken, a badly scarred Elf ranger was seen at the gate
talking to the people about an evil present in the city. "It lies before
you, and you do not see it", he was quoted as saying. After thorough
questioning by Rayvne lead nowhere he mysteriously disappeared and left
everyone wondering. His actions against the Zoluren forces in Shard have
led some to believe he is well paid by an unknown Mr. X. Shortly after
his departure a band of ruffians waylaid the gates.

Shard
is Retaken!
Yesterday King Raenilar left Shard to find solace back in the desert with his
people. Utilizing the passage to Muspari through Throne city, he left
quickly and under the watchful eyes of Queen Morganae's army.
Unfortunately a rebel faction of Outcasts, and thugs from a yet unidentified
source known only as the "Shadow King" stayed behind and challenged
the advancing Zoluren forces. Attacks on the Crossing filled the eve as
Naarg and his ogre band waylaid the city. At the day's end victory was
found with a liberated Shard!
