This is a recounting of the Ilithi meeting that took place on the night of 384 , day 285 in the 8th month of Skullcleaver the Dwarven Axe in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare.

[Silver Eye, Tavern Room]

A warm fire throws mottled shadows over the dark corners. People sit chatting in quiet voices, toasting with mulled ale and fine spring wines. The scent of roasted meat drifts through the air. You also see a stone seat.

Also in the room: Warrior Mage Khisanth, Emerald Knight Catriona who is sitting, Blackguard Tallnavor who is sitting, Emerald Knight Rayvne who is sitting, Medic Emruld who is sitting, Astrology Novice Calalei who is sitting, Air Cabalist Jeiro, Brother Osiju who is sitting, and Sir Zaud who is sitting.

Obvious exits: north, west.

Zaud says, "Hello and welcome to the Ilithi citizens meeting. The goal here is to provide a platform for citizens of Ilithi, and friends to our great province, a chance to discuss the goings on of the area. As well as bring other issues to the attention of its citizens."

Zaud says, "For starters, I'm going to give a brief run down of the meeting structure."

Zaud says, "First, we're going to start with introductions, some of us know each other, and some do not. Following that, we're going to discuss the current state of affairs within Ilithi to allow guild representatives a chance to bring up concerns that are particular to the guilds that operate in the area. Next, will be Security Reports from surrounding hunting areas, and areas of defensive concern when it comes to defending the inhabited villages and cities that make up our home."

Zaud says, "We'll touch on any events of interest that may have been going on in the province, and finally open the floor up to interprovincial diplomacies, to allow visiting dignitaries, representatives, and travelers to address the citizens of Ilithi with requests, concerns, or issues that may have arisen. As well as discussing possible future interprovincial dealings with neighboring, and far off provinces."

Zaud says, "Lets get things started off with some introductions. I would like us to one at a time"

Zaud says, "I'll start, I am Sir Zaud, a Soldier of Ilithi, I am an aspiring Knight Provincial of the Paladins Guild."

Emruld says, "I guess I will go next, I am Emruld, a healer."

Emruld takes a seat.

Zaud says, "Come now, lets not be shy."

Jeiro says, "I am Jeiro, Son of Ilithi, and an aspiring student of the War Mage guild."

Khisanth says, "Good one as well"

Khisanth nods to Jeiro.

Calalei stands up.

Calalei says, "I am Calalei, born outside shard and initiate astrologer and student of the moons."

Emruld snuggles up to Calalei.

Emruld smiles.

Calalei smiles at Emruld.

Calalei takes a seat.

Calalei says, "And Jeiro is my brother,"

Khisanth says, "Khisanth Jokar, of the Talanialas, and Warrior Mage of the Steel Dove"

Khisanth nods politely.

Calalei looks at Khisanth and blushes.

Rayvne says, "I am Rayvne Greylan, Ranger of Therengia, Emerald Knight, and Commander of Twilight Clan."

You stand back up.

You say, "I be Renwulf, or Frosty as many know me. I am a warrior mage from up near Crossings."

You trace the complex sigils of the Pattern Hues cantrip around yourself.

The air around you becomes suffused with a frosty blue glow.

You gesture, and a smooth eruption of rock rises from the ground with a low rumble, shifting and flowing fluidly before settling into a seat of stone. You walk over to it and sit down.

Emruld smiles at you.

Osiju stands up.

Osiju coughs.

Osiju says, "i am osi. cleric of Everild"

Osiju says, "he says get favors ..or i can mock you"

Osiju takes a seat.

Catriona says, "Catriona McFaelyn, Ranger of Therengia, Emerald Knight, First Blade of the Twilight Clan and Queen of Elanthia."

Zaud blinks at Catriona.

Rayvne grins at Catriona.

Zaud squints at Catriona.

Emruld giggles at Catriona.

Catriona shrugs.

Emruld bows to Catriona and begins groveling! With a quivering voice, Emruld begs Catriona to show mercy and kindness for her inexcusable actions!

Zaud asks Tallnavor, "You?"

Catriona laughs!

Tallnavor stands up.

Catriona says, "He's mine"

Rayvne chuckles.

Catriona covers her mouth with her hand

Tallnavor says, "I am Tallnavor Stonehold of the Black Guard, Lead Shield of Twilight Clan"

Tallnavor nods.

Tallnavor takes a seat near Catriona.

Zaud says, "Welcome one and all to Ilithi, and Shard."

Zaud says, "On to current events."

Zaud says, "As most of us know, a route has opened to Forfedhar."

Zaud says, "A road has been discovered just west of Shard that leads into the province of Forfedhar, to a small outpost called Ravens Point."

Zaud says, "I urge everyone to use caution when travelling the route, specifics will be given during the security reports."

Zaud says, "In addition, Sir Danxiuls and myself have made a rather disturbing discovery inside of our city walls."

Tallnavor asks, "you went into the sewers didn't you?"

Tallnavor glances at Zaud.

Tallnavor ducks his head

Zaud says, "It appears that the mage Yhaman has a room, or perhaps several rooms, within the confines of the Golden Phoenix Inn."

Catriona grins.

Catriona says, "I like him"

Jeiro frowns.

You ask, "Did ye burn the Inn down yet?"

Khisanth gawks at you.

Tallnavor says, "that's Renwulf's favorite buddy"

Catriona shakes her head.

You say, "I'm not much fer likin madmen."

Zaud says, "None have been able to access the room as of yet, nor have the authorities siezed the innkeeper for questioning about allowing a known enemy to the province of Ilithi to reside in his inn."

Jeiro says, "I had thought we had rid ourselves of their ilk."

Zaud says, "Although he may not have known about it, the location of Yhamans door, is somewhat secretive, only being accesses after finding a secret door."

You say, "If he was so lovable he'd have no need of hidin and secrets."

Tallnavor ponders you have to find a secret door to find a secret door....

Zaud says, "Several letters have been written to the Three, and our Ferdahl Aemmin, with no response as of yet."

Zaud says, "I suspect, they are discussing how to handle the situation."

You nod.

Zaud says, "It appears that the Father Koryn Al'verith will be moving down to Ilithi, assisting his father on a nearby peach farm, during his fathers failing health. Father Koryn mentioned he would be available in Ilithi for awhile to attend to matters of the spirit should the need arise."

Khisanth nods to Zaud.

Zaud says, "That will certainly benefit our citizens, to have a holy man within the province for a time."

Emruld says, "Oh, that's right I was to go out there."

Emruld blushes a deep green color.

Zaud asks, "Does anyone else have anything to contribute for current events within Ilithi?"

Osiju says, "hrm..i suppose that means i need to get to crossing then."

Zaud says to Osiju, "I am sure the Father had no idea about your unscheduled traveling plans for this evening, which I again thank you for."

Osiju chortles softly at some secret joke.

Osiju waves his hand distractedly.

Emruld says, "I have a question."

Emruld says, "The gryphons, are they along the road to the Forfedahr."

Zaud nods at Emruld, obviously agreeing with her views.

Zaud says to Emruld, "I'll cover that more in depth during the security reports."

Zaud gets a leather journal embossed with the crest of the Paladin Guild from inside his white greatcloak.

Zaud opens his leather journal.

Zaud shows Emruld his leather journal.

Zaud asks, "See?"

Osiju says, "when..he got eaten."

Emruld says, "Is that what you were doing earlier"

Jeiro says, "I have a question regarding recent events reported on."

Jeiro asks, "How do we know these secreted rooms belong to Yhaman?"

Zaud says, "To put this delicatly......"

Zaud ponders.

Zaud says, "The moron wrote his name on the door"

Jeiro chuckles.

Osiju holds his hand up before his mouth and begins to cough, his shoulders shaking. Hope it's not contagious!

Jeiro says, "Well...I guess that's a pretty good indication. Nevermind."

Rayvne asks, "Who puts their own name on a door, in an inn?"

Zaud says, "Granted, it could have been someone else, but nonetheless we thought it best to proceed with caution. In the event it was his hidey left over during the war."

Rayvne asks, "Doesn't that seem, odd?"

Emruld says, "NOthing like saying, I am here than writing your name on your door."

Zaud says, "About as odd as messing with a substance that has been known to extinguise things of existance."

Tallnavor says, "to thorw people off the trail"

Calalei says, "Some people may have permanent residence in an inn"

Calalei says, "Or at least long term."

Catriona says, "Or those were his rooms during the time Shard was taken."

Zaud nods at Catriona, obviously agreeing with her views.

Catriona says, "When I spoke to him he sounded like he had no desire to ever leave the desert again."

Jeiro says, "Yes, but i haven't inscribed my name upon the door. Nor do I think Taelbaert would take kindly to that."

Zaud says, "We considered bashing the door down, to verify it was in fact Yhamans quarters, but the images of traps exploding in our faces, and blackfire consuming Shard made us rethink the decision."

You say to Catriona, "Good, humans dunna live all that long."

You say, "Fer all ye know he's rigged the damn storm ta get away from our guild."

You say, "Would be blastin everythin down right quick."

Khisanth asks, "Has anyone thought of scrying into that room or sending a small familiar into it?"

Zaud says to Khisanth, "Finding such assistance has been difficult at best."

Jeiro says, "I'll volunteer a familiar to scout it. He may not wish to volunteer though."

Osiju asks, "or..perhaps a gnome?"

Zaud says, "It is certainly worth exploring should anyone be willing."

Osiju asks you, "that crazy one..you know..who thinks everyone is an occular?"

Khisanth says, "I'm sure Lord Berric is already aware of the situation, but I'll mention it at the next council"

Khisanth nods to Zaud.

You nod to Osiju.

Zaud nods to Khisanth.

You say, "Good choice."

Zaud says, "That would be appreciated."

Calalei says, "Soon, once I learn locate magics, I could try to find this Yhaman."

Tallnavor whispers, "oh sheesh... it was so long ago... fantastic crossbow though"

Calalei ponders.

Khisanth says, "Best beware, for he may trace it back to ye"

Zaud asks, "Are there any further comments, questions, or concerns regarding current events?"

Khisanth nods to Calalei.

Zaud says, "That would be appreciated."

Calalei says, "Soon, once I learn locate magics, I could try to find this Yhaman."

Calalei ponders.

Khisanth says, "Best beware, for he may trace it back to ye"

Calalei asks, "And send something back?"

Zaud asks, "Are there any further comments, questions, or concerns regarding current events?"

Khisanth nods to Calalei.

Calalei says, "I never said I would face him. Just find out for the aid of the rest of you who do."

Khisanth says, "Not as easy as it sounds"

Zaud says, "Last reports place Yhaman somewhere in the deserts to the north."

Jeiro says to Calalei, "Think back Cal, they came through Moongates, they have the expertise to trace you and the wherewithal to act upon it."

Zaud says, "I'll move onto security reports."

Zaud says, "Currently the Province of Ilithi is in an above average state of preparedness in the event of an invasion or large scale attack. There are still some issues that need to be addressed to better prepare the City of Shard, and it's outlying villages, clans, and residencies to better be able to defend against an attack."

Zaud says, "As of the 8th month of Skullcleaver the Dwarven Axe, in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare. The South, East, and Western Gates of Shard are in Pristine condition, the nothern gate is in need of some minor repairs. Unfortunatly all catapults at the four main gates are out of commission and in desperate need of repair or replacement of other siege weapons to accomodate the defense of the city."

Zaud says, "The onager that is near Steelclaw Clan has been recently anchored into position and can no longer be moved from its current location. It has been repaired, armed, and calibrated for range. It is currently loaded, and set to fire a short distance northeast of its current location."

You say, "Doesn't sound so defensible if ye've no siege equipment.."

Tallnavor asks, "how do we go about getting new siege gear?"

You say, "They be requirin special equipment."

Zaud says, "Write letters to the protectorate."

Tallnavor asks, "where do we get it?"

Tallnavor says, "oh"

You say, "I'll have ta investigate, most of their components are make-able

Zaud says, "As of todays date, the gondola is in good working order, and there are no apparent security risks at this time.

Zaud says, "The scorpion positioned outside of the gates of SteelClaw Clan has been armed and aimed and is in good working order at this time. It is currently aimed at the path leading to the main road."

Zaud says, "Coriks Wall has seen some much needed work. All onagers on top of the wall have been repaired, and are currently loaded, and calibrated for range, forming a lethal area of intersecting boulder barrages in the event the top of the wall sees further action. Exercise extreme caution when patrolling Coriks Wall with a team, and using those onagers. Each onagers is aimed at another onager in the event said onager becomes overrun."

Zaud says, "The Emerald Knights are sorely understaffed, and could use as much help as we can provide them. I know I asked this before, but please, do what you can to ensure Coriks Wall has everything it might need in the event of a large scale push coming from The Hand. Rumor has it that the Ranger known as Catriona was recently seen up there patrolling the wall, and assisting in repelling another large surge in hostile activity upon the wall. Take great caution should you choose to travel beyond Coriks Wall as there are precious few who could assist you should you fall.

Rayvne says, "Wasn't a rumor."

Catriona shakes her head.

Zaud says, "Horse Clan, appears to be secure, and no unusual activity as been reported."

Zaud smiles.

Zaud nods.

Zaud says, "Confirmation is a good thing."

Zaud praises Catriona.

Zaud says, "As we all know, roads, and trails to Forfedhar have been discovered. This is of great benefit to the province of Ilithi because hopefully we might see some trade between our neighboring provinces. However."

Khisanth says, "There have been reports of the Traders in Shard spending sleepless nights loading caravans"

Khisanth nods to Zaud.

Zaud says, "Before our main concern for a large scale attack was rom the north, from the areas surrounding Zoluren, and our outlying northern parts. With the newly discovered roads and pathways, our western boarders have become increasingly more dangerous."

Zaud says, "A road was discovered that leads to Ravens Point, a small stronghold to the west by northwest of Shard."

Emruld says, "I am thinking about setting up show down this way for those who are going to and from Forfedahr."

Emruld says, "Lots of wounds and deaths as of late."

You chortle softly at some secret joke.

Zaud says, "Between us, and this stronghold are reports of forest gryphons along the trail that I confirmed earlier, and past a smallstream Dragonpriests mounted on lizard type creatures, heavily armored, and very skillful."

You ask, "Are the Dragon priests at all related ta the Adan'f?"

Zaud says, "There is nothing more then a small crystalline gorge that seperates us from the Dragonpriests, and no mountable defenses between us and the forest gryphons aside from distance."

You ask, "Or are they other races?"

Tallnavor says, "I'll kill the Dragon Priests"

Tallnavor's entire body tenses as he clenches his fist.

Emruld says, "I think I will set up show right near the West gate."

Zaud says, "That I do not know."

Zaud says, "I traveled, to Ravens Point a few andu before the meeting, and attempted to get inside to speak with them regarding perhaps expanding their walls. Unforuntatly, the refused to open the gates during the night, claiming that only thieves and Dragonpriests run around outside of Ravens Point walls at night. So be cautious when approaching the gate at night."

You say, "Typicaly untrustworthy dwarves."

Emruld says, "That is good though, we know that they have defenses."

Zaud asks, "I have nothing else to report at this time, does anyone else have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding Security for the province?"

Emruld asks, "How dangerous are these Gryphons?"

You say, "From what I gather, bout as tough as unarmed Adan'f

You say, "It be their spells and dive attacks that can get ye."

Rayvne says, "There are several types of Gryphons"

Rayvne says, "Immature, young and mature."

Rayvne says, "The mature ones seems to be immune to blades."

Zaud asks Rayvne, "You've been nosing around that way, haven't you?"

Rayvne says, "But kill them fairly easily with the bow."

You ask Rayvne, "If ye webbed them, did they stop flyin so ye could whack um with yer sword?"

Rayvne says, "I've not tried that yet, really, they seemed easy to me, I've been staying more where the dragon priests are."

You ask Rayvne, "Oh I see, how hard do those be seemin?"

Rayvne says, "They're a challenge"

Zaud says, "With the opening of our western borders, we're in dire need of more people making semi-frequent patrols through the areas inhabited by creatures, in order for us to keep tabs on things."

Zaud says, "I've not recieved any reports regarding any of our more, crabbier, monster, residents in our province."

Zaud says, "I walked through the rock troll domain, darkling woods, and up near the spine, and all seems in order."

Zaud says, "I had only heard of one corpse being pulled out of the Whistling Woods, and really, that's a far cry improvement then normal."

Zaud asks, "Does anyone else have anything to add to the security of Ilithi reports?"

Emruld says, "Anyone who has wood from boxes it would be a great help."

Emruld says, "To repair gates and such."

Zaud says, "Most certainly, we do need to start stashing some away in various locations to repair the gates in the event of an attack."

Zaud says, "I'm just not certain, where."

Catriona says, "there's a basket near the river I think."

Rayvne nods to Catriona.

You ask, "Has any found a way past the Gear Gate at night?"

You say, "I be hearin rumors one exists."

Zaud says, "Moving on......."

Zaud says, "Interprovincial affairs."

Zaud says, "Forfedhar, to the northwest, it's boarders are open."

Zaud says, "There has been no word, or anything, from Therengia."

Zaud says, "I've also heard nothing from the islands, save for the occasional pirate attack."

Khisanth says, "Blasted Kuren"

Catriona says, "Kuren.."

Catriona gazes off into the distance.

Rayvne says, "Har"

Khisanth says, "Aye"

Catriona exclaims, "Har!"

Zaud says, "The hero Bakan, had his memorial service in Zoluren, I hear it was very fitting for a hero of Ilithi."

Catriona nods to Zaud.

You nod.

Khisanth nods to Zaud.

Zaud says, "I was not able to attend myself."

Catriona says, "May the Gods bless him."

Zaud says, "I've heard no word from Aemmin regarding the tribute to our former Ferdahl."

Zaud says, "Perhaps Daler has, I've not run into him in a few days."

Zaud asks, "Are there any visiting dignitaries from other provinces that wish to address Ilithi's citizens?"

Osiju says, "Everild sends his..favor."

Zaud asks, "That's about all I've got, any other questions, comments, or concerns?"

You say, "I have a few things."

You stand back up.

You say, "I just wanted ta remind everyone, bout the game I plan ta be holdin in the comin week."

Tallnavor asks, "what game?"

You say, "Commit or Acquit. I still be needin a few jury members if any should want ta contact me bout it."

Catriona says, "I could jury"

Tallnavor exclaims, "oh pick me!"

Tallnavor raises his hand.

Rayvne grins.

Catriona exclaims, "guilty! hang em all!"

Emruld says, "Let Meraud sort it out."

You say, "Aside from that, in the comin month I be hopin ta hold both a Donation drive fer our youngins, and a party in the new Provincial City of Hibarnhvdar.."

You say, "Well, contact me if ye want in."

You say, "I be needin enough folk ta participate, and be jury.

You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation.

You say, "Just hopin its a good time."

You rub your hands together.

You say, "There will be some interestin prizes too..."

You exclaim, "Ahh, I'll keep ye all in suspense!"

You bow.

You gesture, and a smooth eruption of rock rises from the ground with a low rumble, shifting and flowing fluidly before settling into a seat of stone. You walk over to it and sit down.

Zaud asks, "Anyone have anything else?"

Emruld says, "Thank you for putting all this together."

Catriona says, "We'll be doing another Let's make a deal"

Tallnavor puts his bunny in his black backpack.

Catriona says, "and.."

Catriona says, "two other events in the works for us."

Zaud says, "I'm going to be experimenting with creating some herbal healing kits, seeing if I can make them available to our citizens."

Emruld say, "I will also be holding ‘Box popping and Healing times’ for people who want boxes popped and want healing. Inviting young box poppers for practice and she can do Gargs and Below."

Following this we began chatting about other topics as the meeting drew to a close...
