A heavy mist gathers in front of you, quickly solidifying into the form of Ceosanna.

You chuckle.
You ask Dayin, "Still tryin fer a date, eh?"

Ceosanna says, "As long as I'm not speshul, we're good."
You pat Dayin on the back.
Shareen says to Dayin, "Good save."
Ceosanna grins at Dayin.

Tetsuko sings:

    "Special ed...momma dropped him on his head...."

Daku asks Ceosanna, "any word on forced shifting? I thought I might as well get it out of the way before Sete goes blathering on about it?"

Ceosanna says to Shareen, "Honestly, I can be a little speshul at times."

Seteria praises Daku.

Ceosanna exclaims, "Okay, let's get this started!"
Ceosanna says, "First off, no, forced shifting will not be coming to plat."
Ceosanna sticks her tongue out at Seteria.

Ceosanna says, "I F-I-N-A-L-L-Y have the items ready and will be scheduling a date to hold the auction."
You ask, "What kind of auction?  Pay?  Token?  Multiple bids?"

You duck your head.

Ceosanna says, "Honestly, my schedule for August ... is really hectic as I'll be camping for most of it."


Ceosanna says, "So we're probably going to be looking at late August or into September, but ... you'll have it."
Danxiuls says, "Oh good August is bad for me increses my odds of making it"
Ceosanna says, "Pay auction."
Nazirre says, "Unless its within the next month or during the week chances are i'm gonna be missin it"

Ceosanna says, "Open to everyone."
Shareen asks, "Everyone?"

Ceosanna says, "The last time I checked, I believe Wednesday nights after 9 EST were the best days for most of you."
Nazirre nods to Ceosanna.

Ceosanna says, "So that's probably when I'm going to see about setting it up.  But I'll give you all plenty of notice."

Danxiuls says, "Yeah for sure thats best"
Shareen exclaims, "Yay!"
You nod in agreement.

Ceosanna says, "Did I miss any questions about it?  Raise your hand so I can catch you ..."

Alendria asks, "What the heck is Fishtival?"
Shareen says, "What are you going to auction."
Alendria asks, "A fish auction?"


You hear the voice of Dartenian ask, "Kill?"


Ceosanna says, "The Fishtival was a festival held several months ago.  Solomon told you all that you'd be getting another auction, and ... well, it's taken a bit longer to put together than we hoped."

Dayin exclaims, "Mammoths!"
You exclaim, "Dart!"
Nazirre says, "Killing would be great"

Shareen says, "Its his turn."
Ceosanna says, "No kill, Dart!  At least, not until after the meeting."

Danxiuls says, "Miniture mammoths"
Dayin says, "Killing is always great."
Alendria says, "So its not just fish up for auction."

Dartenian says, "I'll wait until after the meeting, then."
Dayin says, "let me get Naphtha."
Dayin grins at Dartenian.
Dartenian nods to Ceosanna.
Ceosanna gives Dartenian a smooch.

Shareen says to Dartenian, "And please give those of us running a head start."

Ceosanna asks, "Naz, did you have an aution-related question?"
You ask Nazirre, "Crossbows?"
Nazirre asks, "Will there be crossbows?"
You fall over laughing!

Ceosanna says, "In other words, there's a lot!  Enough that you might get another auction in several months."

Danxiuls asks, "So now how do you feel about posting a list of said items for motovation and all?  Oh also any clue on the denomnation of coin?"
Danxiuls smiles hopefully
Dartenian nods.


Ceosanna says, "Probably kronar, and I'll be putting some items out on preview in the ol' auction tent at some point."

Dayin asks, "is there a squirt gun that I can use to spray Naphtha on people?"
Dayin says, "Because Id like that."

Shareen begins chortling at Dayin.
Rillin grins at Dartenian.
Tetsuko grins at Dayin.

Dartenian gazes thoughtfully at Dayin.
Dartenian jots down some notes.

Dayin says, "I just did a bad thing"
Shareen nods to Dayin.

Annamary says to Dayin, "no, that was what we call a Bad Thing."
Dartenian blushes, the tips of his ears turning a deep shade of red.

Ceosanna says, "His father has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, which has understandably drawn his attention away from DragonRealms."
A pained expression crosses Seteria's face.
Tetsuko says, "Oh my"
Rillin winces.
Dayin says, "Ack..."
Alendria winces.
Daku says, "eesh"
Nazirre nods.
Rillin exclaims, "Ow!"

Ceosanna says, "At the moment, his father is getting treatments at a hospital that's several hours away from where they live, so Zadraes is spending a lot of time on the road (and without internet)."

Ceosanna asks, "What does that mean for you guys?"
Ceosanna says, "Here's where the good comes in.  Sorta."
Ceosanna says, "LTBs are ... well ... done."


Ceosanna says, "They came out of QC today."
Ceosanna says, "Now, he wants to release them as soon as he possibly can, but ..."
Daku asks, "he needs our ok?"
Dartenian grins at Daku.


You say, "I wish he were here so we could be givin him a hug."
Tetsuko nods.
Rillin nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Ceosanna says, "He obviously has little to no control over his schedule at the moment.  He should have a better idea within the next few days of when he can release it and be here to monitor things so that they don't blow up."

Zaud says, "Tell him to take his time, there's no hurry."
Shareen says, "That should be the least of his worries"
Ceosanna exclaims, "So ... LTBs coming soon!  And this time it's really soon!"

You nod at Shareen, in complete agreement with her views.
Rillin says, "Dads are more important than LTBs."
Rillin smiles.

You hear the voice of Rinae say, "It will be soon, I just can't fix much that breaks."

Shareen says, "Well then stop breaking it"

A slab of sandstone, split from the cliff's face and toppled on its side, serves as a small stage.  Large branches of driftwood have been dragged near for people who wish to sit.  You also see a small gift bag, a small path, and a Question list.

Daler asks, "Is the memorial contest still being judged?"
Daler asks, "And...will you announce the winners before it's released, or after it's QC'd and all that?"

Ceosanna says, "I believe so.  I will check with the other GMs on the panel (I was just the spokesperson on the boards).  Hopefully we'll be able to update everyone and announce a winner soon."

Daler says, "Thanks."

Alendria asks, "Whats the Timetable on the Gnome Village and can you tell us anything more about where it will be and what its going to be like?"

Dartenian says, "One sec.."

Dartenian says, "As far as the timetable on the village goes, my goal is to have it in QC compeltely by the end of the year.  Originally I had planned to have it all there by October, but that was before they dumped the magic system on me."

Dartenian says, "I've already  got large portions one, but what is left is the hard stuff."

Dayin says, "Magic system?  Just round file it."
Dayin nods to Dartenian.

Dartenian says, "With any luck, it'll be sooner, but no promises."

Danxiuls asks, "One any more contests on the horizen did not have a chace to do the other one?  Two any decent chance of the better the store bought making a second even if brief appearance?"

Ceosanna exclaims, "Contests?  Possibly!"

Ceosanna says, "The weapon merchant will make another appearance, but probably not for another few months or so.  I do know that a lot of folks overstocked themselves with weapons, so you might want to ask around if you know there was something sold that caught your eye."

Daku says, "is there such a thing as overstocking weapons? I mean really."

You shake your head at Daku.
Danxiuls asks, "Anyone overstock?"

Dayin says, "I dont think so, I have over 300 stones in darts at one point."

Ceosanna says, "I think some people hit their vault limit in weapons alone..."

You say to Danxiuls, "We can talk bout what ye wanted after if ye'd like."
Shareen says, "Darn founded shop-a-holics! How is a Trader suppose to get ahead"

Daku says, "can we have the snappy camb merchant come to Plat? Some of us Mages would like to get some snappy camb"

Civetta quietly asks, "I was just wondering if there is a chance of a custom tattoo artist coming around before the end of time?"
Rillin looks at Civetta and drools.

You give a gleaming silver shield inlaid with a blizzard of deep blue sapphire snowflakes a hug.  I'm quite sure that the shield appreciates the sentiment.

You say, "Err.."

Dartenian asks, "Various releases.  Such as some upcoming major fixes to the magic system?"

You say, "I would be happy."
You say, "I can't even imagine how hard the changes are..."

Dartenian says, "I'll have some that'll affect you too, although not quite so soon."

Zaud says, "I'm willing, but I reserve the right to interview any potential candidates for my organs."

Dartenian says, "But the first round of fixes I expect to be out in, oh, a week or two."

Shareen asks, "What was broken?"


You ask, "Is it being called Magic 3.0?"
Dartenian says, "Well..."
Dartenian shifts his weight.

You say to Shareen, "Everything."
You frown at Shareen.

Dartenian says, "Let me put this as simply as possible..."

You say, "I don't mind, I think if you rewrite it, you get ta name it."

You wink at Dartenian.
Dartenian says, "Certain aspects of magic are...er....kinda sorta working in reverse."
Dartenian clears his throat.
Ceosanna winces.
Dartenian nods to Ceosanna.

Dartenian says, "Yeah, it's bad."
Dayin exclaims, "I knew mages should be killing themselves!"

Dartenian exclaims, "Exactly!"
Zaud exclaims to Dayin, "Finally!"

You say, "I guess GMs aren't *required* ta get math degrees."
You chortle softly at some secret joke.

Dartenian says, "Without going into detail, right now you'll find some really odd things if you really really pay attention."

Zaud says, "It just aint natural to throw that much lightning from your nethers."
You say, "Silly little negative signs."


You say, "Aye..."
Dartenian says, "For example, snapcasting can actually be a lot more effective power-wise than full preps."
Rillin blinks at Dartenian.

Dartenian says, "You can actually get bonuses to your magic for having slight nerve damage."

Dartenian says, "If you get a bonus to PM, you can actually lose magic effectivness."
Seteria mutters into the air something about they'll never come in for healing.

Dartenian says, "All that is going away.  Soon."

Dartenian says, "Any spell you snapcast can potentially be more effective if you do."
Dartenian says, "That's a tad bit backwards."

Dartenian says, "If you use harnessed mana to power a spell, you can also hurt your effectiveness."

You ask, "Are the stat changes a part of this?"

Dartenian says, "Not this first round."
Dartenian says, "Those are...harder."
You pat Dartenian on the back.

Dartenian says, "Easier to code, harder to figure out HOW to fix them."
Dartenian chuckles.

Danxiuls says, "You not likely to go from hero to zero overnight with those some of the poor comabt GMs did a few years back"

Dartenian says, "What we'll need is just to make sure things still work, and nothing explodes."
Dartenian says, "Well, that shouldn't explode."



Dayin says, "Dart, tell someone to code up a stone or something the ignites Naphtha when thrown...  Im tired of lighting torches and tossing them about."


Dartenian says, "While this problem affects all casters, bards are hit the hardest, so should be a godsend for them.  Why?  Because they have no choice but to full prep."
Dartenian exclaims, "You need a bard!"

Dartenian begins nagging Dayin unmercifully.
Dayin asks, "Where?"
Dayin casually observes the area.
Dartenian says, "But...on that topic..."

Dartenian says, "We may have something planned for next year that may help with that."
Dartenian winks at Dayin.

Dartenian says, "Ssra and I are discussing a new...toy...for everyone."
Dartenian says, "Not going to say any more about that at this point."
Sibley says, "Sounds interesting."

Dartenian grins.
Zaud asks, "Privatley owned Catapults with pitch shots available?"
Zaud begins bouncing up and down like a little kid!

Dartenian says, "I rewrote PLAY in less than 2 months.  Once I get started, I do pretty good."

Dartenian says, "Just can't do much until this countdown stops."
Dartenian grumbles.

Dartenian says, "I'll see about letting you guys preview bagpipes, keyboards, and....if I ever get it down...that other thing on the 2006 goals list."


You ask, "Other thing?"

You exclaim, "Oh cmon out with it!"

Dartenian grins at you.
Dartenian says, "Gold panning."

You just feel so pleased with yourself, you can't help letting out a hearty cheer.
Shareen says, "Ooo"
Shareen asks, "Really?"

Dartenian says, "Really.  It's on the "maybe" for this year, but thanks to this countdown, it's probably gonna be early 2007 instead."

Dartenian says, "Unless a miracle happens and they get me more help."
Dartenian chuckles.

Dartenian says, "Well, the countdown and magic."
Dartenian grumbles.


Zaud says to Dartenian, "The Skra'Mur you ordered should be in, any day now. Don't worry about paying them, they don't need anything aside from a burial plot"

Dartenian says, "I'm still around here a lot, but mostly playing.  I can only stare at code so long."
Dartenian chortles softly at some secret joke.

Dartenian says, "And I have this silly notion that I can code better if I still know what it's like to play."

Annamary shoots Dartenian an accusatory glance.
Dartenian grins at Annamary.
Annamary exclaims, "Thats when its most fun!"

Annamary gives Dartenian a little prod between the shoulder blades.
Shareen grins at Dartenian.
Dartenian chuckles.
Dartenian says, "I kept going linkdead the other day."
Dartenian grumbles.

Annamary says, "And, I'm very glad you take that approach, as far as keeping with playing too, thats a great thing."


Danxiuls says, "Oh and since you built a 120 room area please keep in mind there is an excellent group of creative folks just willing to help out with the basic world building projects"
Dartenian grins at Danxiuls.
Dartenian says, "Believe me, I know that."

Dartenian says, "I'll be trying to recruit you guys for some quest areas I need.  Soon."
Danxiuls says, "Yeah but I gotta plug it when the chance jumps at me"

Annamary asks Dartenian, "I dare you to let us rescue.. remember the good old days when the entire rescue party would die next to the deader??"


Dartenian asks, "You guys up for a desert hunting area, a lost tomb buried under the sands, a haunted opera house, and some water-filled catacombs undeneath?"
Dartenian grins at Danxiuls.

Shareen says, "oooo"
Dayin says, "Yesh."

You say, "Oooooh."
Danxiuls exclaims, "Ahh Yeah!"
Shareen says, "Lost tomb"
Civetta smiles.
Zaud asks, "Water-filled would be wonderful! Would it be considered underwater?"
Shareen begins bouncing up and down like a little kid!

You say to Dartenian, "Please make an entrance out in the open so I can use tailwind like airbubble."
Dartenian says, "Oh, and just so you know..."
Dayin says, "I swim like a rock, that sounds like a horrible way to die....  Im in."


Daku says to Zaud, "you can get a glass plate mounted to your helm and make that plate a diver's suit"

Nazirre says to Dayin, "Don't feel bad i don't swim well eather"
Helyanwe blinks.
Helyanwe casually observes the area.
Zaud grins at Daku.
Dayin asks, "Better then 50 ranks?"
You nod politely to Helyanwe.
Dayin grins at Nazirre.


Dartenian says, "If I have my way, and I intend to have my way, we'll be seeing a huge surge in new spells over the next 6 months or so."

You say, "Oh."
You say, "Yer gonna make me faint, Dart."

Dartenian says, "And we'll see if we can do something for you non-magic-users too."


You ponder Magic Items 2.0?

Dartenian says, "We'll be addressing Magic Resistance at some point in the foreseeable future, and while I'm not going to comment on BMR vs casters, I will say that Traders and Thieves will be seeing a bit more love there."

Dartenian says, "In theory, Traders and Thieves are supposed to have the same resistance as Barbarians do sans Inner Fire and Dances, etc."
Dartenian says, "In reality, they don't."

You say, "Oh interestin."
Shareen exclaims, "Oh I will be loving that!"


Seteria quietly says, "eight empty slots.... and another two empty slots in no time"
Seteria sighs.
Dartenian nods to Seteria.

Dartenian says, "A few guilds are hurting for spells.  We'll be pushing to fix that starting....tomorrow."
Dartenian grins at Seteria.

You say, "Just be givin me an ice kill stuff spell in the next year or so and I'll be happy."
Helyanwe says, "Start tomorrow... done soon"
You rub your hands together.
Danxiuls says, "By a few you mean Clerics mostly"


Shareen says, "I cant wait until the Trader meeting"
Shareen says, "I have a ton of questions"
Shareen paces back and forth.

Dartenian says, "I need to run, but before I go...."

Dartenian says, "I would suggest being very careful around the dock area in...oh....about 20 minutes."

Dartenian says, "I hear there may be trouble brewing down there soon."
