Renwulf arrived in the Chamber of Steel a few roisaen before the meeting began, and setup a picnic basket full of food (Thanks Shareen!)


You look around, trying to appear nonchalant.

This plain white room is unadorned, save for a large map of the realms upon the northern wall, and a small weapons rack.  Several rows of benches cluster about the map, obviously used for strategy sessions, and war games.  You also see the steel archway.
Also in the room: Bowman Luag who is sitting, Kassinda who is sitting, Samhain who is sitting, and Ironhand Pablin who is sitting.
Obvious exits: none.

You say, "Let us all introduce ourselves."
You smile.
You stand back up.

You get a silverbark talking stick with a spiked silver end-cap from inside your blue backpack.

You say, "My name be Renwulf, and I am a mage of the Frosty Magics."

You grin.
Kassinda smiles at you.
You say, "Many even call me Frosty so the name be stickin."

You say, "I started these meetings in response ta some issues that I became aware of in our guild.."

You exclaim, "Ye see, many of our elders have been growin lax lately, and certain guild matters have gone unattended.  Nae ta mention all novices be needin help at times too!"

You say, "So, let us go around the room."

You say, "And please, take some food if ye wish."

You gesture at a soft yellow floral-print cloth.

Pablin says, "Good evening."
Pablin smiles.

Pablin says, "I'm Pablin Santinian.  I don't particularly focus on any one type of magic."
Kassinda says, "Hello"

You smile at Pablin.
Pablin says, "Umm.. other than that."
Pablin grins.

You ask, "Ye be one of our most eldest members?"
You raise an eyebrow in Pablin's direction.
Kassinda asks, "No nicknames?"

Samhain nibbles on her peach-walnut bread.
Kassinda peers quizzically at Pablin.

You say, "I'm sure Ray has a few fer um."
Pablin says, "Pablin is fine."
Kassinda says, "I was only kidding"
Pablin says to you, "She calls me tubby."

Kassinda accepts Pablin's talking stick.

Kassinda says, "Well Im Kassinda."

Kassinda says to Pablin, "I just came because I heard there would be food"

Kassinda takes a sip of her perry.

Samhain softly says, "I go by Samhain, and I feel an affinity for stormy magics, particularly electric types."

Samhain softly says, "Thank you."

Luag says, "My name is Luag."

Luag says, "My name is Luag, and, uh...I like to burn stuff"
Luag shrugs.

You scrunch your eyebrows together and furrow your brow.
Luag says, "That's about it"

You say, "Ahh, verry well then."

You say, "As some of ye might have caught word, an evil mage is on the loose."
You say, "He be called Malygarr.  Some of ye's might have heard of the name in library books of old.."
You say, "I won't go inta too much detail, but be certain that he's a bad, and quite powerful spirit."


Scarren came through the steel archway.
Scarren says, "hello"

You say, "Armies he be raisin from the dead might soon be makin war here in the city."
Kassinda frowns.

You say, "The Crimson Tempests, I'm sure ye've caught word of it before."



Kassinda says, "Well thats bad news"

You say, "Should such a battle occur, shelter can be sought in the guild."

Luag ponders.

You say, "I doubt he'd try ta mess with Gauthus."
Scarren smiles at you.

You say, "Though, don't be expectin our leader ta go and deal with this spirit himself.."

You cough.
Scarren grins.
Samhain takes a sip of her rum.
Pablin takes a bite of the sandwich.

You say, "Let's have our newcomer introduce himself."

Scarren says, "my name is Scarren and i'm new to the crossing and Elanthia as a whole and i find it kinda disturbing i came here on the verge of war"

You say, "We've been winnin so far."

Kassinda looks at Scarren and shrugs.

Pablin says, "Postponing."
Scarren says, "i think that might be the best plan of action for me being as untrained as i am"

You say, "Hidin was only a suggestion.  Joinin us in battle is definately a possibility."

Samhain mutters into the air something about good goin', Samhain, pick a nice crowded town...Avoid trouble..

You say, "The enemies while numerous, are nae too skilled."
Samhain scoffs.

You say, "Pleasure ta meet ye, and have ye here in our midst."

Kassinda asks, "Not to skilled as in they could be overwhelmed and killed by a rat?"

Kassinda says, "Cause that my skill level right about now."
Scarren grins at Kassinda.



You say, "Alright, before I forget..."

You say, "I have it on good authority that a master summoner will be soon joinin us."

You ask, "Now, what does this mean fer us?"

You say, "We can be gettin him ta have our talisman's adjusted."

You say, "This will let ye summon a modified familiar."

Samhain softly asks, "Modified?  How so?"

You say, "I'm nae sure, but rumors say a few weeks time and he should be arrivin ta take care of us."

You say, "Well, if ye can now summon a blue lizard..."

You say, "Ye might be able ta have him alter it ta summon an obsidian black lizard with horns."

Samhain gets a lizard talisman from inside her backpack.
After a moment's silence a blue and ebon spotted lizard appears and glances up at Samhain expectantly.

Samhain nods.

You say, "Oh verry nice."
Samhain pets her spotted lizard.

You say, "It just depends, some might want their familiars ta look a bit, well unique I be thinkin."

You say, "I've not seen so cute a lizard."
You say, "Makin me jealous now."

Kassinda asks, "When is the summoner coming?"

You say, "Alright, so, just wanted ta let ye's know."
Kassinda peers quizzically at you.

You say, "Several weeks time."

You say, "I'd keep watch on the town calendar."

Samhain softly says, "Please excuse me, I must be going."
Samhain stands up.

Kassinda says, "Gah we could all be dead by then"
You say, "Thankye fer joinin us."
Kassinda waves to Samhain.

You say, "I mean ta not let that happen."


Pablin takes a sip of his arrack.
Pablin jumps back a few feet and lands on his rump, looking dazed!

Pablin says, "Wow."

Kassinda says to Pablin, "Goes good with a sandwich"

Scarren winces as if struck by a sudden pain.
You ask Scarren, "Are ye alright?"
Scarren says, "just drank that too fast"
Scarren chortles softly at some secret joke.

Pablin asks, "A touch of Frosty Brain?"
Scarren rubs his head.
You exclaim, "Hey hey!"

You say, "Now, onta more interestin things."

You say, "I have been asked ta recruit some guards fer a noble that is stayin in the city."

You say, "I thought this meetin might be as good a place as any ta ask."

Kassinda says, "Dont look at me, I dont even know how to use the spell I learned today."


You ask, "Would any be interested in such a venture?"
Scarren smiles at Kassinda.

Luag says, "Who is this noble""
Luag ponders.

You say, "Well, I dunna have her name.  She be a Gorbesh Princess though."

Luag asks, "And why does he need guarding?"

You say, "I found a note inside of my backpack."
Kassinda raises an eyebrow.

You say, "Explained the situation just a wee bit."
You say, "It be verry possible she's a mage herself ye see."
You say, "The note melted after I read it.."


You say, "Well, it said she required some guards ta watch over her and any of her lessers as she made her way south."
You nod to Kassinda.
You say, "So ye'd think."

You say, "I suppose the Prince wasna receptive to her concerns."
You say, "She said somethin about, The Keep was locked up and she was told ta leave at once..."
You say, "I wish I'd read it more closely before it vanished."
You mutter to yourself.
Scarren ponders.

You say, "I know my own concerns have fallen on deaf ears lately."

You say, "Well, as I learn more I'll let ye all know what be happenin."
Kassinda nods to you.

You say, "Onta other things."

You ask, "How many of ye are experiencin difficulty trainin?"

Luag raises his hand.
Kassinda raises her hand.
Luag casually observes the area.

You nod.
Pablin grins.
Pablin raises his hand.

You say, "Let us start with ye."
You gesture at Kassinda.

You say, "Explain what yer troubles be."

Kassinda says, "Well like I said Im not even sure if Im using the spell I learned today correctly.  But Im sure Pablo's lessons will help with that."
Scarren asks Kassinda, "what spell?"

Mageling Stevron came through the steel archway.

You say, "Mebbe it still does?  I know aether lash doesna need one anymore."

Pablin smiles at Stevron.
You bow to Stevron.
You say to Stevron, "Greetings there."
You ask, "I trust me panther found ye?"

(Stevron quietly strides into the chamber, hazel eyes flashing quickly around the room before fluidly sweeping into a low bow before the gathered.)

Luag says, "In general I have the same problem as Kassindra"
Luag nods to Stevron.
Luag says, "Welcome"

Stevron says to you, "Yes, he did.. and some one's bear as well. Good that they did, for I did not think we started for some time still."

You say, "Ahh, me apologies.  I know the scribblings on the town calendar can be confusin at times."
Scarren smiles at you.
Stevron says, "Of course."

You say, "I am still pushin fer automatic familiar location and reminder services."
You chortle softly at some secret joke.

Luag says, "I tend to use fire ball and dragon breathe, but often find I can kill things quicker with me bow"
Luag glances at a camouflaged alaca chunenguti with a soft desumos hide grip.
You say, "Please help yerself ta some food on the cloth."

You say, "Hmm.."
(Stevron flashes a bright smile as he lightly settles on the floor.)

You say, "It doesna use a normal targeting matrix is why."

Kassinda says, "OH well thats good to know."

You say, "Now, aether lash is a verry verry good spell."
Kassinda fidgets nervously.

You say, "The matrix recently changed, and it is now extremly effective I be findin."
Scarren nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Stevron angles his ears forward in curiosity.

Luag says, "If I can ever atain my 40th circle within the guild I plan on using fire rain, but that may be a ways down the road"
Luag shrugs.

Stevron gets himself a flagon of Elven frostwynne.  Yum!

You say, "If ye can find a good swarm it is devestatin."
Pablin asks, "Are you thoroughly set on learning the Fire Rain pattern?"

You ask, "Do ye know any other damagin spells?"
Scarren says, "but that can't be obtained til you have gained mid journayman/woman level"

Pablin says, "If you also dabble in the Electrical Manipulation book, I would suggest the Chain Lightning spell first."
Scarren says, "gar zeng is best teacher til then"
Luag says, "Eh...fire shard...fire ball...dragon breathe...I know that gar zeng one as well..."

You say, "Aye, ye should try usin Gar Zeng a bit more."
Kassinda asks, "What about that fist of stone spell?"

You ask, "What might I ask do ye hunt?"
Kassinda says, "How does that work for teaching"

You say to Kassinda, "It is nae the strongest of spells at present."

Luag says, "I hunt snow goblins at the moment."

Luag says, "Oh I also know lightning bolt...but it seems lately I've been huntingunderground and caves so much lately...I don't get to use it much..."

You ask, "How many of ye found the shelves of our guild adequately stocked?"

You ask, "Rather, did ye find what ye needed ta make it on yer own in this city?"
Pablin says, "Our weapon rack here seems to have been cluttered up with a lot of... junk."
You ask, "Could they be stocked better?"

Kassinda says, "I figure I will need just the basics."
Tarryn says, "I myself have not looked for any provisions or equipment yet"

You say, "Well, I be thinkin they could.  If any would like ta volunteer ta help me clean the various shelves and racks we can setup a schedule."
Stevron says to you, "I've looked often and found no runestones here. Only thing I think it needs."

You say to Stevron, "Good observation."
Kassinda says to Tarryn, "I heard that people put lots of things in that basket by the Crossing gate."

Luag says, "I just left a rune in the basket outside the northeast gate"
Pablin nods to Kassinda.
Luag slaps his forehead!
Pablin says, "They do."

You say, "I was thinkin some light armor, a few weapons, containers, cambrinth, and mebbe some torches."

Tarryn asks, "which gate is that?"
You ask Tarryn, "Do ye have yer map still by chance?"
Luag says, "Its the gate between our guild and the Crossings"
Kassinda says to Tarryn, "That big one, south of here."
Tarryn nods.
Tarryn says, "I know the one, thank you"

< at this point Pablin begins handing out runes to the masses>


You say, "I was thinkin if we can find four people ta patrol the guild shelves, then all newcomers shall be better off as a result."

Pablin says, "This chamber is warded against magic."
You ask Pablin, "Is that... new?"
You say, "Someone bop me fer nae checkin."

Pablin says, "I imagine it is because this room is for the focus of weapons and strategy."
Scarren nods to Pablin.

Scarren says, "that would make sense"
You say, "Next time we will find a more magically inclined place."


Pablin says, "I enjoy the Chamber of Air."
Scarren smiles at Pablin.
You ask, "Alright.  Now, would anyone like ta volunteer ta help me patrol the guild shelves?"
Pablin says, "An excellent view of the area."

Felecia says, "I will.."
Scarren says, "i'll help "
Felecia smiles.

Scarren says, "not that i can donate anything"
Scarren frowns.
Felecia says, "Though I figure..if you're patrollin stuff I won't have a choice but to peek too."

Kassinda says, "Im not sure what you mean patrol the shelves"
Pablin says, "I would have gotten rid of all this junk before, but they warded it to be for novices."

You say, "Just make sure no junk be clutterin things, and keep a small supply of stuffs in yer vault fer deliverin.  I will try ta supply ye with adequate startin kits as I can."

You say to Scarren, "Hidin in places like shops, guildhalls, anyplace we can all get to."
You say to Scarren, "If people ACTUALLY hid it would be quite impossible ta find them."
Kassinda asks, "Do we have to say that cheesy bit at the end?"

You say, "Just point at um and tell them ta come with ye."
You say, "Then they will join yer group as ye lead them back to the prison."
You say, "Fer every convict ye return, ye get 1 point."
Kassinda asks, "Oh what do we win?"

You say, "Well, since I am nae a craftsmen in me own right, I will be supplyin several interestin prizes fer the first and second place winners."
You say, "In a few weeks I will reveal the prizes as I post it on the boards and all around the city."
You ask, "Does this sound like somethin ye'd be interested in?"

Felecia grins at you.
Scarren nods to you.
Kassinda says, "Thats sounds fun"
Tarryn says, "sure"
Scarren says, "i would"
Tarryn nods.
Pablin says, "I wouldn't mind being a dirtbag."
Pablin grins at you.

Tarryn laughs at Pablin.
Scarren chuckles at Pablin.
Stevron says, "I'm will to try."
Scarren says, "me neither "

You say to Pablin, "You, sir, are a wenching jack-a-nape!"
Scarren chortles softly at some secret joke.
Felecia exclaims, "I wouldn't mind callin ya one...how coincidental!"
Felecia giggles at Pablin.
Kassinda says, "I will have to see if I can find a map of the city."
Tarryn giggles at Felecia.

Pablin says, "He only speaks the truth."
Pablin glances at you.

You say, "Well, that be some of the point."
Stevron gets a map from atop a weapons rack.
You say, "Helpin the youngings ta learn their way about the city."

Felecia says to Pablin, "You, sir, are a puking, ill-breeding brown-noser!"
Felecia chortles softly at some secret joke.
You say, "Should ye know of any willin ta aid us, please be lettin me know."

You say, "Does anyone have any other announcements they'd be likin ta make?"

You say, "Does any have any suggestions fer the next meetin?"

You say, "Well, any that be wantin a small huntin adventure can join me followin the meetin in front of the guildhall."

With that, myself, Pablin, Felecia and Luag took Stevron and Tarryn inta them wingless birds called gidii area fer some late night huntin.
